SESSIONAL CHILDCARE (CCS Approved)
We offer quality CCS Approved sessional childcare programs in line with the Early Years Framework. Please enquire about this service and costs, or to arrange a tour of the program. Wait list registrations can be made at any time during the year. Our waiting lists are revised annually and places are offered as they become available.
We offer a clean, safe, space for children to learn, play and explore. A place to meet and make new friends, where your child becomes familiar with and confident in a stimulating environment with quality toys to cater for babies to pre-schoolers. Bowen Street is adjacent to Bowen Gardens, Linger Coffee Shop, the bus stop and close to two local primary schools.
Bowen Street Community Centre is CSS approved. The childcare subsidy is a means tested benefit based on your family’s combined income and fortnightly activities such as work, study or volunteering. You can access more information about the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and how to apply for it here.
Age Range – 12 months – 5 years
Tuesday sessions – 9.15am- 1.15pm (4 hours)
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday sessions – 9.15am-2.30pm (5 hours)
2026 Playgroups will run from Monday to Friday in the Thomas room (Front room)
Monday – Grandparent’s session – 9.00am-12.00pm
Tuesday – Open Age session – 9.00am-12.00pm
Friday – ** Open Age structured session NEW 9.30am-11.30am
For other playgroup session times, contact the Centre.
*This playgroup session will be facilitated by a qualified early childhood educator, activities and experiences are planned for and set up for the children and their accompanying parent.
Pro Rata Fees: Fee revision occurs 1 July each year- $160 per year, $85 per half year or $50 per term

PLAYGROUPS
Becoming a parent is a major life-changing experience. Our friendly playgroups meet the needs of families with babies and pre-school children 6 months to 12+ months and are a wonderful opportunity to become part of the local community and make new friends. New families, carers, parents and grandparents are all welcome. We can accommodate up to fifteen families at a time with purpose-built indoor and secure outdoor spaces, play areas, kitchen facilities, toys, equipment, children’s bathroom and baby change facilities. We offer the opportunity to visit a playgroup for a few times at no cost to see if it suits your needs. The children bring morning tea to share and coffee/tea is provided for parents, carers and grandparents.
